About Mini Sudoku

Mini Sudoku is built by a small group of puzzle enthusiasts who wanted a Sudoku site that just works: no account required, no app to install, no paywall between you and today's puzzle. Open the site, play, close the tab — that's the whole experience we're aiming for.

It started with the format the site is named after: a 6x6 grid that keeps every rule of traditional Sudoku but takes a fraction of the time to play. We built it because we wanted a version of Sudoku that fit into a coffee break, and because a smaller grid turns out to be one of the easiest ways for new players to actually learn the logic behind the puzzle rather than getting lost in a 9x9 grid on day one.

From there we added the puzzles that Sudoku players ask for next: the full-size Classic format, plus Sudoku X, Killer Sudoku, Jigsaw Sudoku, and Samurai Sudoku for players who want a bigger challenge, plus a printable option and a solver for whenever you get stuck.

How we run this site

  • Free, and staying free. The site is supported by ads, which is what lets us keep every puzzle free with no paywall or subscription.
  • No account required. You can play everything on this site without signing up. Progress and best times are saved locally in your browser.
  • Privacy-conscious by default. We collect the minimum needed to run and improve the site. See our Privacy Policy for details.
